How are SMD screens used at weddings in Pakistan?
SMD screens are now common at mehndi, barat and walima events, in banquet halls and in marquees. Typical uses:

- Live feed: cameras show the stage on side screens, so guests at the back can see the rasms.

What size screen does a wedding hall need?
Measure the distance from the stage to the farthest table. For video, the screen height should be about one eighth of that distance.

Which pixel pitch is best for a wedding hall?
Guests usually sit 5 to 25 metres from the stage. Close-up family photos are taken right in front of the screen, so the backdrop should not look grainy on camera.

Why does refresh rate matter at weddings?
Every wedding is filmed. A screen with a low refresh rate can show black lines or flicker on the videographer’s camera and on guests’ phones. Choose 3,840 Hz or more. Many rental panels, such as the PL V2 series, run at 7,680 Hz with 16-bit grey scale. This keeps the stage looking clean in the wedding video as well as in the hall.

How do you keep the screen running during load shedding?
Most wedding venues run on generators for part or all of the night. A few simple steps prevent most problems:
- Use a generator with enough capacity. Size it for the screen’s maximum power plus lights and sound, with spare margin.
- Protect against voltage swings. Use a stabiliser or a power distribution box with protection.
- Keep the controller and laptop on a UPS. If the power blinks, the content keeps running and the screen comes back quickly.
- Power on in stages. Switching on all cabinets at once can trip breakers.
- Earth the screen and the truss.
